No One Puts Baby in a Corner

TL;DR —

Probably one of our favorite bowls of beef noodle soup in the SGV. The broth is balanced and flavorful, their thick noodles are perfectly springy, and the portion of perfectly braised beef shanks is generous. In addition to their beef noodle soup, their Taiwanese sausage appetizer is out of this world!

Taiwanese Sausage

If you look at Corner Beef Noodle House’s Yelp page, the two menu items you’ll see the most photos of are the Taiwanese sausage and the beef noodle soup. And for good reason. Their Taiwanese sausage is a no-frills appetizer: a flavorful sausage cut into bite size pieces served with sliced raw garlic. The flavors of the sausage are interesting and unlike anything we had tried before. It’s on the sweeter side, but perfectly balanced with all the different spices they use (think cinnamon, five spice, etc.) and the bite of a small piece of garlic.

Beef Stew Noodle

We’ve had our fair share of beef noodle soup, and the reason Corner Beef Noodle House’s bowl stands out is because of the noodles they use. They use a thicker, wavy noodle that they cook to perfection. Their broth has a slight acidity to it to balance out the sweetness and saltiness, especially after you add their delicious pickled mustard greens. Their beef shank is also braised to perfection and is served in larger chunks which are very satisfying to bite into. Make sure you come hungry for this bowl, because it’s definitely on the heavier side but will 100% satisy your beef noodle soup craving.
